As a student of Exact Driving School, I acknowledge and agree to the following terms:
- I am physically, mentally, and emotionally capable of participating in the driving lessons, and I confirm that my current driver’s license is valid for driving in BC, Canada, for the duration of these lessons.
- Exact Driving School offers driving lessons in accordance with BC laws and is staffed by qualified, professional instructors. These lessons do not include road tests, which I will undertake separately at a later stage in my training.
- I agree to indemnify and hold harmless Exact Driving School, its directors, shareholders, employees, contractors, and their heirs from any claims, demands, losses, damages, lawsuits, or legal costs, including reasonable attorney fees, arising from any disputes related to services legally provided by the school.
- All lessons will be conducted on a one-on-one basis unless both the instructor and I mutually agree to allow additional persons to attend. A maximum of three people may be in the vehicle, and any additional persons will be present only as observers during the lesson.
Fees
- Individual Driving Lesson (60 mins) – Class 5/7 Automatic – $70 (+GST)
- Individual Driving Lesson (90 mins) – Class 5/7 Automatic – $95(+GST)
- Road Test (2 hours) – Class 5/7 Automatic – $160 (+GST)
- Car Rental for road test (1 hour) – Class 5/7 Automatic – $100 (+GST)
During the 60-minute practical driving lesson, students will receive 55 minutes of hands-on practice, with an additional 5 minutes allocated for debriefing and theory. For 90-minute lessons, students will have 80 minutes of practical driving practice, along with 10 minutes dedicated to debriefing and driving theory.
* Add $15 (+GST) to each lesson for Saanichton lessons.

Cancellations
To cancel a lesson, please provide at least 48 hours’ notice; otherwise, a cancellation fee of $30 will apply. Cancellations made on the same day or at the last minute will incur the full lesson fee, or the lesson time will be forfeited.
Note: For cancelling a road test appointment arranged through Exact Driving School, we require a 72 hours’ notice to properly inform ICBC. Failure to provide sufficient notice may result in a $25 cancellation fee charged by ICBC to the student.
Lateness
If you are up to 15 minutes late, you will receive the remainder of your scheduled lesson, but the full lesson fee will still be charged. If you are more than 15 minutes late, the instructor will leave, and the lesson will be considered a “NO SHOW” (no refund or rescheduling will be provided for that lesson).
Refunds
- No refunds will be issued for driving lessons or road test sessions that have already taken place.
- Refunds will be provided for unused lesson if notice is given to Exact Driving School at least 48 hours prior to the scheduled lesson. A cancellation fee will apply to refunds requested within 48 hours of a scheduled lesson.
- A processing fee of $20 will be applied to any refund.
Requirements and Procedures
- Students must present a valid BC Learner’s Driver’s License before starting any lesson.
- All students are required to register and make full payment in advance, no later than their first lesson.
- Exact Driving School reserves the right to cancel scheduled appointments due to unforeseen circumstances such as instructor illness, vehicle breakdowns, or unsafe road conditions. Students will be notified promptly, and the lesson will be rescheduled.
- Exact Driving School may cancel your lesson without a refund if the student is suspected of being under the influence of alcohol or drugs, or engaging in inappropriate, abusive, or aggressive behavior.
- In the event of an accident where the student is deemed at fault by ICBC, the student will be responsible for paying the deductible as per the insurance policy.
- Students must dress appropriately and wear proper footwear (heels are not allowed).
- Any outstanding fees must be settled before the road test.
- NOTICE: This session will be recorded for the safety of both the student and instructor, as well as for liability and insurance purposes.
